Testimonials

Sara Roberts has been a great help to my son. I started bringing my son to Sara  when he was going into the first grade and now he will be going to the third grade. Sara took the time to review the phonics basics with my son, things that they didn't review until his second grade year. She makes sure that she finds out what motivates a child to do their best and adjust her lessons to their needs. Not only has she helped my son gain confidence but Sara has helped me with finding the proper help at school that my son needs. She has researched and gathered information to help me with his special needs. My son had developed a dislike for going to school, but after spending time with Sara, he is excited and willing to learn when it is time to have his lessons.  My family has been blessed to find a caring person who genuinely wants to teach our child and wants him to succeed.

Choosing Sara Roberts as our tutor was one of the best decisions we ever made educationally. As parents we were dissatisfied with what our daughter was learning at daycare. We felt with the amount of money we were paying, she should be learning more than just nursery rhythms. In order to supplement her daycare experience we decided to get a tutor for an hour a week. We are very picky people and searched a long time for tutor who would not waste our time and money. Sara was ALL that and MORE! Unlike other tutors we interviewed, Sara started with a structured plan for evaluating where our child was academically. Based on her evaluation, and our description of what we were looking for she outlined clearly what steps and basics areas she would attempt to strengthen. She was very honest, and focused a lot on reading skills as a way to later on introduce math. Personality wise, she is warm, professional, PATIENT, and seems to have the magical skill of getting our daughter to focus on the hour lessons. Today, although Sara will not take full credit, our daughter is entering kindergarten already knowing how to read words she's never seen before (NO exaggeration) and can figure out on her fingers what 55 + 5 is by starting from the largest number and counting up by 5. Take note that on the 1st day of Kindergarten our daughter was only 4 days shy of turning 5 years old. Suffice it to say we are beyond happy with what Ms.Sara was able to do for us!!!! She was a relief and blessing because we couldn't have entrusted our kid to just anyone.
